About Barbara

Barbara Boyd-Floering is the Patient Care Coordinator of the Whelton Virshup CreakyJoints Arthritis Clinic, which stretches across four physical locations in Palm Beach County and Martin County, Florida. A graduate of Florida Atlantic University and a long-time resident of South Florida, Barbara spent many years working in finance at IBM. She was then drawn to volunteer work, realizing the unmet needs in patient care. This led her to volunteering with a national arthritis organization for eight years until she was hired as the Patient Care Coordinator of their arthritis clinic, a role she maintains today with CreakyJoints. In this role, she works directly with people living with rheumatic disease to navigate the free rheumatology services offered by the clinic, including setting up appointments with the 14 volunteer doctors, coordinating lab work and x-rays, and accessing medications. She also introduces people using the clinic to the arthritis education, resources, and tools offered by CreakyJoints.
