About Santiago

Santiago Munoz Perez, MPH, Manager of Technology Solutions and Community Outreach, bridges technology and outreach with academic and working credentials in both. He is responsible for supporting the technology needs of our patient community and enhancing user experiences, as well as contributing to the design and implementation of patient-centered programs, ensuring that GHLF resources are accessible to our global Spanish-speaking community. Santiago is a Master’s Degree graduate from the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, where he specialized in Comparative Effectiveness Outcome Research with relevant coursework in Decision Analysis, Empirical Analysis for Health Policy, and Health Economics. He received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Biological Engineering from MIT with relevant coursework in Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, and Java/Python. While at Columbia, Santiago was a Health Policy Management Staff Associate quantifying the health economic impact of climate sensitive events for New York City’s Climate Vulnerability, Impact, and Adaptation Analysis (VIA). Using raw data from the Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project and New York City’s Office of Vital Statistics, Santiago calculated excess mortality and morbidity rates using the Stata programing language. Santiago is fluent in Spanish and English, and experienced in Stata, SAS, Excel and MATLAB programming languages.
