Michelle is a freelance writer, singer, patient advocate, and founder of the blog “The Migraine Warrior.”

Diagnosed with migraine at age 19, she is very open with the migraine community about the challenges of living with migraine and why addressing mental health is so important.

Michelle uses her platform to help other migraine patients feel less alone.

Winnielyn B.

Winnielyn is a Filipino American physical therapy assistant who lives with chronic migraine.

She recently started working again after her debilitating symptoms forced her to take a break from her job.

As an Instagram content creator, she provides community and support for those living with migraine.

Candace C.

Candace is a Black chronic migraine patient who works with a service dog to better manage her migraine.

Her service dog, Clea, helps with deep pressure therapy or grabs water and medications for her during migraine attacks.

She uses social media to share her experience navigating life with chronic migraine and having a service dog.

CarmenRose F.

CarmenRose is a Queer (LGBTQ) Latinx chronic migraine patient advocate who works to educate and inform others so they can have an easier time managing migraine.

In an effort to reduce stigma and normalize the disease, CarmenRose began sharing what daily migraine injections look like for her on social media.

Emily K.

Emily is an author, professor, and mother.

Chronic migraine reduced her ability to find joy and participate in daily living, until she connected with the right neurologist and began monthly migraine treatment.

She now lives with fewer attacks and can take more risks personally and professionally.

Danielle A.

Danielle is the senior system analyst at GHLF and cohost of the podcast “Wellness Evolution.”

Joseph Coe, MPA

Host

Joseph Coe, the Director of Education and Digital Strategy at the Global Healthy Living Foundation, has been living with migraine since his teens. 

As a migraine patient advocate, Joe knows the power of speaking up and being proactive when managing his complex neurological condition. 

Through personal conversations with fellow migraine and headache patients, Joe explores the challenges, hopes and triumphs of his guests.

Peter McAllister, M.D.

Neurologist, Medical Expert

Peter McAllister, M.D. Host Neurologist, Medical Expert Dr. McAllister is a board certified neurologist and director of The New England Center for Neurology and Headache. He holds clinical appointments at both Yale University School of Medicine and The Frank H. Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University

As the former Director of the Headache Center, Concussion Center, and Clinical Research at Associated Neurologists of Southern Connecticut, Dr. McAllister is recognized as a “Top Doc’’ in Connecticut and New York, as well as a “Top Neurologist” by the U.S. News and World Report. He lectures nationally and has been the principle investigator on numerous clinical trials, as well as authored articles in the lay and scientific press. 

Dr. McAllister employs a holistic approach to diagnosis and treatment as a practitioner. His area of expertise includes: headache, concussion, Multiple Sclerosis, ADHD, Lyme Disease, and complex neurological conditions.
